It was a great experience working with the diverse and talented team at QDC, but it was time to move to other pastures . . .

I've found a new home (a few months ago!) working with the digital team at Cummins Nitro. Friendly and creative people, diverse and challenging projects, what more could I ask for!?

So, now I'm winding-down my business as I'm now gainfully employed at a company called QDC. I'm working with a great team and getting hands-on into Flex and AS3, and hopefully AIR in the not too distant future.

I'd like to give a great big thanks to all the fantastic business that I've worked with over the last few years - I'm truly grateful for for the opportunities they've given me. Thank you.

And now (after-hours!) I hope to finally get a few of the personal projects that have been sidelined up and running! If/when I do, I certainly be sure to post them here!

Cheers!

Worked with graphic designers ThreeStones to get their new, nice simple site up and running - I did the html/css/javascript to their design. They've got some great graphic and photographic work. Check it ooouuut!

I've added Pseudo Republik to my link list below (should've had them in there at the start - sorry), they've nicely featured a vinyl 'sketch' I created during a workshop of theirs. Thanks!

The website for the There's a Hole in My Bucket project is up and running, with plenty of interesting entries.

Ok, to geek out for a second - this site was actually an interesting experiment . . . Often I'll use an XML file to store all the content for the SWF, but, following the concept that CSS is used to seperate style from content, what if I 'syled' XHTML with Flash?

So that's what I did! Using the wonderfully amazing swfObject my SWF actually reads the page it sits within as a data source! This means (to my limited knowledege) that the page content can be found by search engines and that the site content can be viewed without Flash or Javascript.

I'm aware that it's not perfect right now, but it's an interesting start :)

Just finished a quick little Flash site for a chap called Omega Goodwin, who had the crazy notion of putting hot-pink pigeons around the city. Strangely enough, the url is pinkpigeons.net . . .

Also, the Melbourne Design Festival is launching this week, make sure you attend some of the events!

I'll be participating in a project by Ambiguous Horse called "There's a Hole in My Bucket". I've also done, and will be doing, the site for the project. Should be an interesting one.

Still busy, though . . .

Completed a cute little site: heavenlycreatures.net.au. Designed by those way-out Round kids yet again!

Also been busy with a stack of other work . . . blimey!

22.02.07

Launched the first part of the Basil Sellers Art Prize website today. The site was designed by the lovely folk at Round and buit to their specs by lil ol' me. It'll be getting a fair bit of coverage in the national papers, so I'll be interested to see the Google analytics results.

So . . . a new year, a new web site!
